Terms & Conditions (updated 1st February 2026)

Welcome to the online studio store & workshop bookings of Yorkshire Artist & Printmaker, Frances Payne. By placing an order or booking a workshop, you agree to these Terms & Conditions as laid out below. Please read them carefully.

1. Artwork & Handmade Item Sales

  1. All items sold are created by Frances Payne and are original artworks, prints, or handmade items.

  2. Orders are shipped within the UK only via courier.

  3. Dispatch schedule:

    • Orders placed before 12pm on Tuesday will be dispatched Tuesday afternoon.

    • Orders placed before 5pm on Friday will be dispatched Saturday morning.

    • Orders received after these times will be processed on the next scheduled dispatch day.

  4. You will receive confirmation of dispatch and tracking information when your order has been sent.

2. Pricing & Payment

  1. All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include UK VAT where applicable.

  2. Payment is required at the time of ordering.

3. Refunds & Returns

  1. You have the right to return goods within 14 days of receipt for a refund, provided the item is unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging.

  2. To request a return, please email [email protected] with your order details.

  3. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt of the returned item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

  4. Customised or commissioned works are non-refundable unless faulty or damaged in transit.

4. The Snail Mail Print Club

Rolling Monthly Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions are confirmed on the 1st of each month at midday. Any subscriptions made after this time will be allocated to the following month.

  • As a ‘made to order bespoke service’, no returns or refunds are possible unless your items are damaged in transit. You will be required to send proof of damage.

  • Subscription bundles are dispatched to members on the 15th of each month or the nearest working day thereafter. All bundles are sent via Royal Mail tracked postal service and generally take 3 to 4 working days to arrive. Postal delays are outside of the Artist’s control.

5. Workshop Bookings by Venues

Cancellation by the Venue:

As confirmed workshop dates are reserved exclusively and often require me to turn down other work, the following cancellation terms apply:

  • More than 28 days’ notice: no charge

  • 14–28 days’ notice: 25% of the agreed workshop fee

  • 7–14 days’ notice: 50% of the agreed workshop fee

  • Less than 7 days’ notice: 75% of the agreed workshop fee

Where possible, if a cancelled date(s) can be rebooked, the cancellation fee may be reduced or waived. 

Cancellation by the Artist:

In the unlikely event that I need to cancel due to illness or circumstances beyond my control, I will provide as much notice as possible and will either reschedule the workshop or refund any fees paid in full.

6. Liability

  1. Frances Payne is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from the purchase of goods or workshop attendance.

  2. All workshop participants are responsible for their own safety and the safety of any accompanying minors.

7. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
